    INSTITUTE OF PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE (PEAK)

    Institute of Professional Education And Knowledge (PEAK) is a unit of Vocational Training Council responsible for the provision of in-service training and professional examination services.  More than 200 major companies have utilized its corporate training services.

    Term Executive Assistant II (Ref: PEAK/EA2(PS)/0404/21-22)

    Major Duties: 

    (a) To provide secretarial and administrative support services to management;

    (b) To organise meeting logistics and work schedules;

    (c) To receive guests and visitors and to manage correspondence (phone calls, email, etc.);

    (d) To process, relay, store and protect classified or sensitive information and documents;

    (e) To provide document management and filing services etc.; and

    (f) To draft business correspondence and memos.

    Requirements:

    (a)(i) 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) at Grade E/Level 2 or above including English Language (Syllabus B)*, Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent; OR
    (ii) A combination of results in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination at Level 2 or above in New Senior Secondary subjects / "Attained" or above in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; and the 5 subjects should include English Language*, Chinese Language and Mathematics; OR
    (iii) A recognized Certificate / Diploma / Foundation Diploma / Foundation Certificate, or Project Yi Jin. 

    * Completion of Hong Kong Vocational English Programme (HKVEP) at Level 2/Passing 5 specific VTC’s Vocational English Module Certificates is considered an alternative qualification.

    (b) Proficiency in computer software application, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Chinese word processing;

    (c) Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills;

    (d) Ability to work independently and be a good team player; and

    (e) Good work initiative, professional and be customer-oriented.

    Notes:

    (1) Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend a Computer Skills Test (CST) including document formatting, English and Chinese typing, and use of spreadsheet.

    (2) The appointees may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours.

    (3) The appointees will be required to perform duties in more than one location.

    Term Executive Assistant II (Ref: PEAK/EA2/0204/21-22)

    Major Duties:

    (a) To provide quality support in one or more of the following areas for professional examinations:

    (i) Invigilation;
    (ii) Counter services;
    (iii) Candidate enrolment & records;
    (iv) Fee collection;
    (v) Preparation of documents;
    (vi) Other logistic support;

    (b) To handle public enquiries; and

    (c) To provide clerical and general administrative support service to the office.

    Requirements:

    (a)(i)  5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) at Grade E/Level 2 or above including English Language (Syllabus B)*, Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent; OR

    (ii) A combination of results in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination at Level 2 or above in New Senior Secondary subjects / "Attained" or above in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; and the 5 subjects should include English Language*, Chinese Language and Mathematics; OR

    (iii) A recognized Certificate / Diploma / Foundation Diploma / Foundation Certificate, or Project Yi Jin.

    * Completion of Hong Kong Vocational English Programme (HKVEP) at Level 2/Passing 5 specific VTC’s Vocational English Module Certificates is considered an alternative qualification.

    (b) Preferably with 2-3 years relevant invigilation/customer service fields experience;

    (c) Meticulous and with good customer service and problem solving skills;

    (d) Good communication skills in English, Cantonese and Putonghua;

    (e) Proficiency in computer software application, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing;

    (f) Good interpersonal and organizational skills;

    (g) Ability to work independently and be a good team player; 

    (h) Self-motivated and customer-oriented.

    Notes:

    (1) Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend a Computer Skills Test in MS Word, MS Excel and Chinese word processing [Cangjie (倉頡) or Quick/Easy (速成)].

    (2) The appointee(s) is/are required to perform duties outside normal office hours or work irregular hours or on shifts, and work on alternative Saturdays.

    (3) The appointee(s) is/are required to perform duties at different location.

    Term Executive Assistant II  (Ref: PEAK/EA2/0504/21-22)

    Major Duties:

    (a) To provide support in one or more of the following areas: 

    (i) general administration and personnel;
    (ii) student affairs and student admissions; and
    (iii) promotion & publicity and committee work.

    (b) To assist in providing secretarial support for meetings/boards of operational units;

    (c) To draft simple correspondence.

    (d) To handle enquiries and provide counter services;

    Requirements:

    (a)(i) 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) at Grade E/Level 2 or above including English Language (Syllabus B)*, Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent; OR

    (ii) A combination of results in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination at Level 2 or above in New Senior Secondary subjects / “Attained” or above in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; and the 5 subjects should include English Language*, Chinese Language and Mathematics; OR 

    (iii) A recognized Certificate / Diploma / Foundation Diploma / Foundation Certificate, or Project Yi Jin. 

    * Completion of Hong Kong Vocational English Programme (HKVEP) at Level 2/Passing 5 specific VTC’s Vocational English Module Certificates is considered an alternative qualification.

    (b) Proficiency in computer software application, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Chinese word processing and/or simple webpage design;

    (c) Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills;

    (d) Ability to work independently and be a good team player; and

    (e) Good work initiative and be customer- oriented.

    Notes:

    (1) Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend a Computer Skills Test (CST) including document formatting, English and Chinese typing, and use of spreadsheet.

    (2) The appointees may be required to work irregular hours or shifts and perform duties on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.

    Major Duties:

    (1) To perform day-time teaching duties;
    (2) To propose lesson plan;
    (3) To develop and prepare training materials;
    (4) To develop and prepare assignments, examination paper and marking schemes;
    (5) To mark students' assignments and examinations; and
    (6) To carry out duties related to student and academic administration.

    Requirements:

    (a) A relevant recognized degree or equivalent professional qualification, preferably with post-graduate qualifications; and
    (b) At least 3 years' relevant work experience in well-established corporations or training experience in relevant subjects; and
    (c) Strong presentation skills; and
    (d) Proven records of linkages with the catering industry or professional bodies would be an added advantage.

    Term Officer (IT)  (Ref: PEAK/OFF/6103/20-21)

    Major Duties:

    (a) To be responsible for the system design, development and maintenance of web and mobile applications;

    (b) To assist in the daily administration and support of mission-critical systems; and

    (c) To review on the effectiveness of controls in the areas of technology and information security.

    Requirements:

    (a)(i) A recognized degree in IT or equivalent with at least 2 years’ relevant work experience; OR

    (ii) A recognized higher diploma in IT or equivalent with at least 5 years’ relevant work experience;

    (b) Experience in RESTful API, AJAX, JavaScript, SQL, PHP and/or .NET development;

    (c) Hands-on experience in using open source JavaScript framework (e.g. React/Angular/JQuery);

    (d) Proficiency in English and Chinese; and

    (e) Good interpersonal skills, self-initiative and be a good team player.

    Notes:

    (1) Appointees may be required to work irregular hours / outside normal office hours and / or at different work locations on a need basis.

    (2) Appointees may be posted to any operational units of the VTC, for example a campus / centre, to carry out similar duties, and have different post titles which are subject to change at the Council’s discretion.
