Programme Information
This course aims to review the surveys on discrimination in different countries and Hong Kong, and introduce the anti-discrimination ordinances and cases in Hong Kong, so that insurance agents in the financial industry can understand equal opportunities and the major contents of the anti-discrimination ordinances in Hong Kong. This will enable them to have a deeper understanding of the spirit and requirements of the ordinances, and further understand the importance of equal opportunities, so as to promote a healthier and more harmonious working atmosphere.
This course will explore what equal opportunities are and discuss surveys on discrimination in different places and Hong Kong to examine the current situation of discrimination. By introducing the key points of Hong Kong’s anti-discrimination ordinances, learners can have a deeper understanding of the ordinances so that they can better grasp the spirit of the ordinances. Finally, the course will discuss how to create a more harmonious and inclusive work atmosphere.
- Part 1 Understanding the Principle of Equal Opportunities, Anti-Discrimination Ordinances – Sex Discrimination Ordinance and Codes of Practice of the Financial Industry
- Part 2 Understanding the Anti- Discrimination Ordinances - Disability Discrimination Ordinance, Family Status Discrimination Ordinance and Race Discrimination Ordinance, and how to establish a mutually respectful and inclusive work environment in the workplace

* Student must complete all parts of the course and pass relevant assessment(s) in order to obtain the e-Certificate of attainment issued by the Institute of Professional Education And Knowledge (PEAK) and earn specific CPD hours of the course.
*For E-learning CPD activities: Individual licensees can only earn CPD hours by taking the E-learning CPD activity once during the same Assessment Period. If an individual licensee repeats the same E-learning CPD activity in the same Assessment Period, the repeat one will not be counted.
