Term Officer

Major Duties:
(a)    To perform administrative duties in respect of the following areas:
(i)    Examination related administration;
(ii)    Human resources management;
(iii)    Financial and supplies matters; and
(iv)    General administration and facilities management;
(b)    To supervise and coordinate the work of clerical and supporting staff to ensure effective operation and management of the operational unit;
(c)    To handle complaints and resolve conflicts with examination candidates;
(d)    To assist in the development and system review of new examination system; and
(e)    To provide secretarial and administrative support for the work of the relevant working groups and committees.

Requirements:
(a)    A recognised degree or equivalent qualification, preferably with a higher qualification;
(b)    At least 2 years’ relevant experience in examination administrative in education-related sector at the executive level; 
(c)    Experience and skills in handling complaints by examination candidates;
(d)    Good knowledge in examination related computer system design and development with experience in system testing is preferred;
(e)    Strong initiative, good leadership, interpersonal and proven administrative skills;
(f)    A pro-active approach and ability to work independently; and
(g)    Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, and proficiency in Putonghua is desirable.

Notes:
(1)    Shortlisted Candidates will be required to attend a written test in both English and Chinese.
(2)    The appointee may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours or work irregular hours or on shifts, and on alternative Saturdays.

Part-time Executive Assistant II

Major Duties: 
(a)    To provide assistance in attendance-taking and monitoring for examinations; 
(b)    To handle public enquiries; and
(c)    To perform any other duties assigned.

Requirements:
(a)    (i)    5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) at Grade E/Level 2 or above including English Language (Syllabus B)*, Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent; OR
        (ii)    A combination of results in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination at Level 2 or above in New Senior Secondary subjects / “Attained” or above in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; and the 5 subjects should include English Language*, Chinese Language and Mathematics; OR
        (iii)    A recognised Certificate / Diploma / Foundation Diploma / Foundation Certificate, or Project Yi Jin;
*    Completion of Hong Kong Vocational English Programme (HKVEP) at Level 2/Passing 5 specific VTC’s Vocational English Module Certificates is considered an alternative qualification.
(b)    Meticulous and with good customer service and problem-solving skills;
(c)    Good communication and interpersonal skills in English, Cantonese & Putonghua; and
(d)    Ability to work independently and be a good team player.

Note:
(1)    Preference will be given to candidates who are able to work during office hours on weekdays.
(2)    The appointees will be required to perform duties in venues other than the VTC Tower.
(3)    Immediate availability is preferred.

Term Officer (Accounting) 

Major Duties: 

(a)    To perform duties in respect of one or more of the following areas:
(i)    Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements;
(ii)    Prepare reports for financial analysis and costing analysis;
(iii)    Accounting daily operation, budget clearance and annual budget exercises; and
(iv)    Assist the Head Office of Finance to liaise with the external auditor for the annual audit;

(b)    To help in the development and implementation of accounting policies, guidelines, procedures and computerised financial systems;

(c)    To conduct feasibility study on new initiatives; 

(d)    To supervise and coordinate the work of clerical and supporting staff to ensure effective operation and management of the operating unit; and

(e)    To undertake specific projects and tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
(a)    A recognised relevant degree, or equivalent professional qualifications;
(b)    At least two years’ relevant work experience preferably in sizeable organisations;
(c)    Good command of English and Chinese;
(d)    Good proficiency in Microsoft Office Software and computerised accounting/procurement systems; 
(e)    Good problem solving, time management, interpersonal and communication skills; and
(f)    Proactive, able to work independently, and meet tight schedules.

(1)    Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic/professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic/professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.

Term Executive Assistant II (Accounting) 

Major Duties: 
To provide support in the following areas:
(i)    fee collection and processing refund;
(ii)    preparing demand notes and official receipts;
(iii)    assist in preparing monthly financial statements, regular reports and year-end exercise;
(iv)    daily administrative work, such as filing and data entry;
(v)    drafting simple correspondence; and
(vi)    handling enquiries.

Requirements:
(a)    (i)    5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) at Grade E/Level 2 or above including English Language (Syllabus B)*, Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent; OR
        (ii)    A combination of results in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination at Level 2 or above in New Senior Secondary subjects / “Attained” or above in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; and the 5 subjects should include English Language*, Chinese Language and Mathematics; OR
        (iii)    A recognised Certificate / Diploma / Foundation Diploma / Foundation Certificate, or Project Yi Jin;
*    Completion of Hong Kong Vocational English Programme (HKVEP) at Level 2/Passing 5 specific VTC’s Vocational English Module Certificates is considered an alternative qualification.
(b)    Proficiency in computer software application, such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Chinese word processing;
(c)    Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills;
(d)    Ability to work independently and be a good team player; and
(e)    Relevant work experience in accounting will be a definite advantage.

(c)    To provide clerical and general administrative support service to the office.

Requirements:
(a)    (i)    5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) at Grade E/Level 2 or above including English Language (Syllabus B)*, Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent; OR
