The Institute of Professional Education And Knowledge (PEAK) is one of the member institutions of the Vocational Training Council responsible for the provision of in-service training and professional examination services.  More than 200 major companies have utilized its corporate training services.

Part-time Instructors / Lecturers (Ref: PEAK/PTL/3609/21-22)

Subject Areas: 
- micro:bit and mBot
- Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) 
- Big Data and Data Analytics
- Cloud Computing
- Internet of Things   
- Blockchain

Major Duties:
1. To perform teaching and training duties;
2. To prepare lesson plan;
3. To develop and prepare training materials;
4. To develop and prepare assignments, examination papers and marking schemes;
5. To mark students' assignments and examinations;
6. To carry out duties related to student and academic administration; and
7. To perform the duties assigned by the Training Consultant.

Requirements:
(a) A relevant recognized degree or equivalent; 
(b) At least 3 years' relevant work/teaching experience; and
(c) Preferably with experience in:
(i) IT training projects or consultancy with strong knowledge in coding, RPA, AI, Big Data, Blockchain etc;
(ii) Content development; and
(iii) IT training and support.

Note:
(1) Candidates without the required academic qualification stated in the Requirement (a) above but possess (i) a relevant recognized Higher Diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years' relevant work/teaching experience; OR (ii) 8 years’relevant work/teaching experience (and where applicable a relevant Qualifications Framework (QF) Level 3 qualification) may be considered for the post of "Part-time Instructor".
(2) For the post of Part-time Instructor, candidates are required to pass a trade test.

Part-time Lecturers (Ref: PEAK/PTL/3509/21-22)

Subject Area: Workplace Putonghua 

Major Duties:
(1) To perform teaching and training duties, also can work in both day and evening time;
(2) To prepare lesson plan;
(3) To develop and prepare training materials;
(4) To develop and prepare assignments, examination paper and marking schemes;
(5) To mark students' heassignments and examinations; and
(6) To carry out duties related to student and academic administration.

Requirements:
a. (i) A recognized degree in Chinese Language / Chinese Language and Literature / Language Studies (Chinese) / Chinese Linguistics / Education (Chinese); OR
   (ii) A recognized degree in Translation / Teaching Chinese as a Second Language or as a Foreign Language. A transcript with course details should be provided for consideration; and
b. (i) Grade B, Level 2 or above in the Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi (PSC) – Putonghua Proficiency Test administered by the State Commission on Language Work; OR 
   (ii) A pass in the Language Proficiency Assessment for Teachers (Putonghua) administered by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessments Authority (HKEAA) or equivalent.
c. At least 3 years' work experience in relevant industry or language teaching;
d. Native or Fluent Putonghua Speaker is preferred;
e. Strong presentation and facilitation skills; 
f. Strong background in corporate training or teaching; 
g. Good communication skills and the ability to motivate students are definite advantages.

Term Executive Assistant II  (Ref: PEAK/EA2/3409/21-22)

Major Duties:
(a) To provide support in one or more of the following areas: 
(i) general administration and personnel;
(ii) student affairs and student admissions; and
(iii) promotion & publicity and committee work.
(b) To assist in providing secretarial support for meetings/boards of operational units;
(c) To draft simple correspondence.
(d) To handle enquiries and provide counter services;

Requirements:
(a)(i) 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) at Grade E/Level 2 or above including English Language (Syllabus B)*, Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent; OR
(ii) A combination of results in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination at Level 2 or above in New Senior Secondary subjects / “Attained” or above in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; and the 5 subjects should include English Language*, Chinese Language and Mathematics; OR 
(iii) A recognized Certificate / Diploma / Foundation Diploma / Foundation Certificate, or Project Yi Jin. 
* Completion of Hong Kong Vocational English Programme (HKVEP) at Level 2/Passing 5 specific VTC’s Vocational English Module Certificates is considered an alternative qualification.
(b) Proficiency in computer software application, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Chinese word processing and/or simple webpage design;
(c) Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills;
(d) Ability to work independently and be a good team player; and
(e) Good work initiative and be customer- oriented.

Notes:
(1) Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend a Computer Skills Test (CST) including document formatting, English and Chinese typing, and use of spreadsheet.
(2) The appointees may be required to work irregular hours or shifts and perform duties on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
