Part-time Lecturers (Ref: PEAK/PTL/3906/22-23)

Subject Areas:
- Project development and coordination / course delivery for Postgraduate / Professional Diploma programme for the fields of Insurance and Risk Management (particularly for topics of Operational Risk Management, Reinsurance, Property Insurance, Financial Planning, Life, Marine, Actuary, Insurance Accounting, Financial Risk Management, etc.) 
- Various topics of Fintech, Insurance, Medical & Health Insurance, Compliance, Financial Planning, Mandatory Provident Fund, Mainland, Taxation and Investment etc. for CPD related short courses

Major Duties:
(1) To develop quality support service for assigned project development, coordination and to carry out any other duties as assigned;
(2) To develop learning / teaching materials;
(3) To propose teaching plan, etc. and to provide relevant recommendations or suggestions; 
(4) To deliver the programmes and carry out relevant tasks, such as managing class discipline and taking student attendance;
(5) To develop and prepare assessments and marking scheme and to carry out academic and administrative duties, including attending review meetings, etc.

Requirements: 
(a) A recognized relevant degree or FCII, or ANZIIF (Fellowship), or CFA, or FRM designation or equivalent (and at least a master degree for teaching post-graduate programme, preferably with doctorate qualification with experience in dissertation supervision), and
(b) At least 3 years' relevant work experience, with training experience an added advantage.

Term Officer (IT)  (Ref: PEAK/OFF/3606/22-23)

Specialisms:
(1) System Development
(2) Infrastructure Management

Major Duties:
For (1) System Development
(1) To be responsible for the system design, development and maintenance of web and mobile applications;
(2) To assist in the daily administration and support of mission-critical systems; and
(3) To review on the effectiveness of controls in the areas of technology and information security.
For (2) Infrastructure Management
(4) To oversee and maintain the network, IT application systems with servers;
(5) To provide support on data centre management, operations and monitoring; and
(6) To manage IT systems and services on Windows / Linux / virtualization platforms.

Requirements:
(a)(i) A recognized degree in IT or equivalent with at least 2 years' relevant work experience; OR
    (ii) A recognized higher diploma in IT or equivalent with at least 5 years' relevant work experience;
(b For (1) System Development:
    (i) Experience in RESTful API, AJAX, JavaScript, SQL, PHP and/or .NET development;
    (ii) Hands-on experience in using open source JavaScript framework (e.g. React/Angular/JQuery);
For (2) Infrastructure Management:
   (i) Experience in security and network infrastructure such as Firewall, Routers, Switches, VPN, Load Balancer;
   (ii) Experience in VMware ESXi, Linux and MS Window Server;
(c) Proficiency in English and Chinese; and
(d) Good interpersonal skills, self-initiative and be a good team player.

Notes:
(i) Appointees may be required to work irregular hours / outside normal office hours and / or at different work locations on a need basis.
(ii) Appointees may be posted to any operational units of the VTC, for example a campus / centre, to carry out similar duties, and have different post titles which are subject to change at the Council’s discretion.

Term Executive Assistant III  (Ref: PEAK/EA3/4006/22-23)

Major Duties: 
To provide logistic and on-site support to CPD training activities;
To provide support in one or more of the following areas:
(a) Room reservation and cleaning service scheduling;
(b) Data input and filing;
(c) General administration;
(d) Course and student related administration; and
(e) PEAK's events.

Requirements:
(a) Completed Form 5 or equivalent;
(b) Proficiency in computer software application, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Chinese word processing;
(c) Good command of Chinese and English;
(d) Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills;
(e) Ability to work independently and be a good team player; and
(f) Good work initiative and be customer-orientated.

(1) Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend a Computer Skills Test (CST) including document formatting, English and Chinese typing, and use of spreadsheet.

Part-time Executive Assistant II (Ref: PEAK/PTEA2/2905/22-23)

Major Duties:
(a) To invigilate professional examinations;
(b) To handle public enquiries.

Requirements:
(a) (i) 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) at Grade E/Level 2 or above including English Language (Syllabus B)*, Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent; OR
(ii) A combination of results in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination at Level 2 or above in New Senior Secondary subjects / “Attained” or above in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; and the 5 subjects should include English Language*, Chinese Language and Mathematics; OR 
(iii) A recognized Certificate / Diploma / Foundation Diploma / Foundation Certificate, or Project Yi Jin. 
* Completion of Hong Kong Vocational English Programme (HKVEP) at Level 2/Passing 5 specific VTC's Vocational English Module Certificates is considered an alternative qualification.
(b) Preferably with 1-2 years relevant invigilation/customer service fields experience, less experience may also be considered;
(c) Meticulous and with good customer service and problem solving skills;
(d) Good communication skills in English, Cantonese and Putonghua;
(e) Ability to work independently and be a good team player;

Preference will be given to candidates who are able to work during office hours in weekdays.

Major Duties:
(a) To provide support in one or more of the following areas: 
(i) general administration and personnel;
(ii) student affairs and student admissions;
(iii) promotion & publicity and committee work; and
(iv) data input and filing.
(b) To assist in providing secretarial support for meetings/boards of operational units;
(c) To provide logistics and on-site support for exchange activities and seminars;
(d) To draft simple correspondence.
(e) To handle enquiries and provide counter services;

Requirements:
(a) (i)    5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) at Grade E/Level 2 or above including English Language (Syllabus B)*, Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent; OR
