Introduction
In Hong Kong, there are over 2 million doctor consultations every month, costing on average HK$260 per private medical consultation. In additional to the out patient medical expenses, the medical costs of hospitalization cannot be is costly.
In view of the aging population in HK, the medical costs and the demand for medical insurance coverage are increasing. There are different medical products offered by insurance companies. As the insurance intermediaries, product knowledge of the various medical insurance plans is essential. This programme aims at analyzing the features of the 3 key medical insurance plans – Traditional Medical Insurance Plan, High End Medical Plan and Voluntary Health Insurance Scheme.
