Part-time Lecturer (Business Skills)

Subject Areas:

Major Duties:
(1)    To perform teaching duties; 
(2)    To propose lesson plan;
(3)    To develop and prepare training materials;
(4)    To develop and prepare assignments, examination paper and marking schemes;
(5)    To mark students’ assignments and examinations; and
(6)    To carry out duties related to student and academic administration.

Requirements:
(1)    A relevant recognised degree or equivalent, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;
(2)    At least 8 years work experience in commercial sectors and preferably with executive management level in Human Resources and Training Development area; or 3 years training / coaching experience in well-established corporations;
(3)    Strong presentation and interpersonal skills;
(4)    High proficiency of written and spoken English and Mandarin; and
(5)    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Term Project Officer


Major Duties: 
(a)    To spearhead the planning, design, development and marketing of award-bearing insurance training programmes, professional examinations and other services;
(b)    To support PEAK's award-bearing and non-award bearing training programmes;
(c)    To assist with matters relating to the accreditation / re-accreditation of PEAK's programmes; and implement VTC quality assurance policies;
(d)    To maintain customer base and develop new market opportunities for PEAK in Hong Kong, Macau and in the Chinese Mainland; and
(e)    To achieve annual financial income targets and business results.

Requirements:
(a)    A recognised degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in Business Administration, Insurance, Finance or Risk Management; 
(b)    A Master's degree would be an advantage;
(c)    At least 3 years' relevant experience in the insurance or related industry, preferably with exposure to the development and management of QF-accredited programmes;
(d)    Relevant professional qualification(s) in insurance, e.g. ANZIIF, CII, etc. would be an advantage;
(e)    In-depth understanding of the latest regulatory requirements, technical knowledge, market practices and training and development needs of the local insurance industry;
(f)    Track record in service selling and account management with an established business network in the insurance, banking and financial services industries; and
(g)    Good communication and presentation skills with a high level of proficiency in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua.

Notes:
(1)    The post is at the rank of Lecturer.
(2)    Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic/ professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic I professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
(3)    Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment.
(4)    The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and multiple locations within and outside Hong Kong.
